Systems integration makes disparate IT equipment that wasn’t designed to work together do just that. An efficiently integrated system offer rare competitive advantage to any organization.
But information technology systems at their worst can be a veritable jungle of networks, platforms and applications. In a single server room, standards may vary, functions overlap, and outdated equipment connects badly or not at all. Clearing this IT jungle requires rationalizing systems, connecting networks properly, and aligning the newly integrated whole with an organization’s business processes.
The need for systems integration often becomes apparent when an organization wants to introduce new technology, but finds that earlier technology decisions, old equipment or both make it hard to do so.
Tydas has been doing systems integration in excess of a decade. We analyze the present situation, including all legacy systems and recommend and create solutions. The work usually includes systems consolidation, rebuilding the network backbone (the "fast-lane" local area network highway) and optimizing the network structure.
Tydas has done this work for clients with two servers and six desktops in one office and for those with 30 servers and 400 desktops in multiple locations in different countries.
